A space to unpack your experiences and make sense of it.

Supporting adult children of immigrants navigating anxiety & balancing culture and relationships.

In person therapy in Rockville, MD and online throughout Maryland, Virginia, and Washington, D.C.

You’re tired of putting everyone else’s needs above yours.

You’re ready for real change.

Life has been overwhelming, but maybe not that bad. You don’t feel like you suffered as much as other people, you had all your basic needs met, and you are doing well in some areas of your life like work or school. So, why do you still feel so awful?

Maybe you’ve grown up trying to navigate difficult family dynamics like being a third parent, your parents couple's therapist, your mom’s confidant, or the glue for your family. You learned to people please to survive, putting your feelings aside to care for everyone else to the point where you consider everyone else before yourself now without realizing it.

You lost yourself in what others need and want from you, but you don’t know a life other than this.

You’re struggling to justify taking care of yourself and having a hard time naming how you feel because you learned to disconnect from your body to push through discomfort to fulfill other’s needs. Maybe you feel resentful of your family because you sacrificed so much for them and feel like you don’t get the same support in return.

It doesn’t have to be this way.

It’s possible to have healthy, culturally relevant boundaries with your family to maintain relationships while caring for yourself and stop sacrificing your needs.

Let’s explore your culture, upbringing, and identities to understand how they formed who you are, your worldview, and concerns. You are more than your problems and context matters!

You deserve to stay connected with your family and reconnect with yourself.

Hi, Salaam, I’m Natasha!

I help adult children of immigrants struggling with anxiety, second-guessing themselves, and always trying to keep others happy to stop neglecting their own needs and experience a better relationship with themselves and their family.

Together, we’ll explore your upbringing, culture, and experiences to shine light on the way you view the world, yourself, and those around you.

People work with me to reflect deeply within themselves and make the choice to break old habits and generational cycles that no longer serve them to make space for their authentic selves.
